99 F150 ebrake cable issue
Pressed so hard on the e-brake pedal yesterday that the cable pulled right out through the tubular sleeve connector that came with the cable originally. It's the area that connects the right e-brake cable to the cable that just exists the floor at the pedal. I was told that we can just replace the tubular connector and be back in service but I am wondering if there is a better connector that we can use so it won't pull through again. Or do I need to replace the whole cable (it's less than 2 yrs old, and the brake mechanism in the drum was all replaced new about 2-3 years ago). Thanks for any thoughts.
