My 18 was always getting flashed at night with stock halogen bulbs. I thought it was due to having four headlamps on and people thinking it was on bright since most vehicles do not run four headlights on low beam,
I replaced with the LED bulbs, huge upgrade, and not I get flashed even more, if that is possible.
Co-worker has a 17 2WD and had same issue. He said to check the headlight alignment so I did and both sides were about 4" above the line as shown in the manual. Co-workers truck was same. I adjusted mine down and it has made a big difference in what I can see now on the road on low beams. Before, when I went to high beams, it didn't seem to do anything, probably because they were pointed so high up.
Anyway, easy to check, easy to adjust, it's in the manual.
For reference, my co-worker has a 2017 4x2 Gas, I have a 2018 4x4 FX4 Diesel, and both had same issue even with significantly different rake from the factory. Both trucks are stock.
I get flashed regularly so I checked mine. They were fine (stock ride height and nothing in the bed). Last week I had a guy pull up beside me and yell; "turn your f___ing high beams off!" He left the light ahead of me so I turned the high beams on, but only for a few seconds. I think he gets it now.
