Smile Fuel pump removal

He guys I’m trying to remove the fuel pump on a 1950 F1 w/ 226 flat 6. Do I really have to remove the engine mount to get to the back nut on the fuel pump? Seems like the only way?

There is an inspection plate on the inner fender (behind the PS wheel). Remove the wheel / inspection plate and you'll have a clear shot at the fuel pump. If your truck still has the intake heat shield in place, the brace may need to be removed to improve your access.
