P0667 trouble code

I'm about 90 days into working the kinks out of my 2006 350 and was just about done when I started getting a P0667 #7 glow plug circuit fault. Is something I need repair soon or can it wait without causing worse issues?
Thanks, Scott

#7 glow plug is the 4th one from the front on the passenger side (the most rear). I would replace it. I think if you remove the passenger wheel well cover, it'll be accessible.

If one cylinder doesn't run until the engine warms up, it would cause undue stress. If it's me, I would replace it asap.

There are a lot of folks running around with a glow plug, or two, not working.
You won't damage anything, other than slightly harder cold starts, might smoke a tad more initially and brap/cough a few seconds until that cylinder warms up.

I wouldn't worry about it until you have time to address it.

It looks as if I might have time to fix this glow plug issue next week so I'm going to order parts. The harness part # I come up with is 5C3Z-12a690 ($56.40 on Amazon) and the GP # is 4C3Z-12a342 ($13.57 on Amazon) or ZD-13 @ $10.99. These part #'s correct for a 2006 (passenger side harness)?

Thanks,
Scott

I would go to the dealer before I went to Amazon.

Just replaced the #3 glow plug (second one back on the right side) in my 2006 F350. Pull the inner fender well out. It's very easy to do and gives easy access to the glow plugs. Get the tool (very cheap) to remove the harness from the glow plug. Otherwise you'll most likely break it. Don't ask me how I know that.

Also if you put a little bend in that tool so that the finger loop is back a bit from the legs it is easier. That was a DieselTechRon tip.
Works nicely. Also make sure that you have the legs all the way on the harness connector of it will beak.

I second that opinion. Amazon is good and convenient for a lot of things. Being sure that it’s a Motorcraft part isn’t one of those things.

Amazon is also good for killing small stores. I try to buy local first if I can.

Thanks for the replies! I don't buy a lot from Amazon any more but I do use them to find things and establish a price. My local NAPA is family owned and I give them most of my business. Sometimes when searching for part #'s it can get confusing so I put this out as a sanity check. Thanks again for the responses.

Since using the early model year glow plug in a late model year 6.0L can cause BIG problems, I always advise folks to get their glow plugs at the dealership.

I believe you could always use the shorter, later model glow plug to be safe.

I don't think there was a change in the depth of the GP well in the heads over the years. The 2003 piston is unique and by that situation is an expensive piston to install when rebuilding motors. If you have an MY 2003 rebuilt, it could have either piston in it depending on the source.

I am also moving away from Amazon. It might just be my luck but I feel like when I order a tool from them I am paticipating in a tool "loner" program. Many tools come pre-tested"used" and then sent to me. My wife says so what? I say if I wanted used I would pay a used price. Depending on what it is and how badly I need it I might keep it to avoid the return hassle. Anyway done ranting.
