I have a 2018 F-350. Same one that’s listed in the signature. Was hoping to get some help tracking down where my mechanic might look for the cause of some electrical gremlins that show up from time to time. Sometimes the seatbelt light and chime doesn’t work (not complaining about that one), Advaced trac faults, the auto entry and exit feature that raises the steering wheel and moves the seat stops functioning and the saved driver position controls quit. One morning I came out and the front 2 windows were all the way down. Sometimes I go to get in it and the seat is all outta whack and the back is laid almost all the way back. That being said the seat being all outta wack might be me leaning in the truck to get something out and accidentally hitting the sear controls but I’ve never noticed it moving when I did this. Who knows. Maybe some of you guys can help guide us into where to look. This site has been worth it’s weight in gold to me and is second to NONE! As usual,THANKS!!
Well, the advance trac notification occurred in July. That happened away from the house on 2 different occasions. Mechanic cleared the code and that hasn’t happened since. The seatbelt light and chime has occurred about every Week or so. That happens anywhere. The windows being down occurred about 2 weeks ago at home. I cut the easy entry/exit feature off since it wouldn’t let me correct it at the time it happened. All was normal the next day. None off these things happen at any one specific place.
John, my Ford dealer mechanic was telling me it could be something as simple as a bent prong on a connector but tracking it down would require the problem acting up at the time for him to be successful at tracking it down and fixing it. Otherwise it would be a guessing game. He’s taken great care of me all these years so I wanna see if I can get some suggestions and help that would help him be successful and get paid fairly on a warranty claim.
