V10 intermittent starting problem
Here’s what I am experiencing: When I try to start, if I hold the key in the start position, engine seems to start up normally but as soon as I Release the key the engine dies. If I engage the starter, and immediately release the key, the start cycle stops ( normally, the engine should/would continue the start cycle).
If I pause for 5-10 seconds and try to crank again, it will eventually start after 5 to 7 attempts.
I have had it in the the Ford dealer, but they just could not find the problem because it is so intermittent.
Any ideas?
is there an OBD2 reader I could get that could help identify a sensor or computer issue that is causing the start cycle to abort?
thanks,
Dan
