Electric Fan Recommendations?

I'm considering replacing the clutch fan with an electric fan: I think the 2 year old(maybe) HD fan clutch is not operating properly- It is harder to turn when cold than it should be, and I get a heavy fan flow at almost all times now. I am considering replacing the belt driven fan with an electric one. Does anyone have any suggestions- size, make, etc? 1991 F-150 5.8l, E4OD, 2wd, SC, LB, HD radiator, XLT Lariat...

Thanks! Scott

This is what I'm using on my 92 f150 302 4wd with a 2 core radiator.

Amazon Amazon

Didn't notice a huge power gain, but its nice not having that big ole fan on the front anymore.

Google taurus fan swap, they are great units, obviously o.e. quality, and can be had for almost nothing at the jy.

Would a Crown Vic (P71) Interceptor one be usable?

Thanks!

You can use just about anything. A CV unit that cools a 4.6 would be fine, but I've got no idea about how it's constructed or adapting the mounting.

I used a 2-speed Taurus fan off a 92 with the big 6 mounted by suspending the entire shroud in my stock shroud.

I run it on low most all the time & lots of times in winter, none at all.

With a 195* T-stat, I average about 200-205* max.

I love it cause I can unplug, pull 2-bolts & yank it it in under 5 minuets to do any front service.

Dead nuts reliable for over 10 years.
