Instrument Cluster

I’ve been working on the instrument cluster on & off for the past year or so. I had gauges that didn’t work, with beat up faces and a speedometer that needed to be replaced. The bezel was in rough shape too. I didn’t want to change anything from the original look so I found parts and pieced together something that works for me.
I also had a hard time finding paint to redo the indicator needles. I finally settled on Testor’s fluorescent orange. I have posted some before & after photos below.
Next on my list is to install seat belts.
Happy Labor Day!

I need a new steering wheel!

The gauges look good.
On the needle I also used Testers paint on my 81 F100 gauges but others have used http://www.hipoparts.com/fluorescent...oration-paint/ as it is a real fluorescent paint where Testers is just a color name.

As for your steering wheel I have seen it posted people use using PC-7 epoxy to fix them. I have not tried as the wheel I would have used it on was way to far gone.

Real fluorescent paint?! I was in too much of a quick hurry when I got to the point when I needed to paint the needles. My local auto part stores didn't have anything and the Testors paint was the best I could find to get it installed and on the road for the weekend.
I have to say yours came out great Awesome job!

LOL yea I was kind of in the same boat as I wanted to do it now and be finished with that part, truck is no where near to getting on the road.
I just want to point out that there is a paint just for the needles if any one does a search and comes across this.

Thanks for the nice job. I think it is the little detail things like this that make a tuck look nice.
