Welcome to July everyone! Having a semi lazy day watching the world cup then finishing rebuilding my instrument cluster with some new paint and some new gauges.
No lazy day here with the storm, power out and no AC at 80* and 65% humidity. Spent the time trying to stay cool and hydrated.
Pictures of the cluster!
Here are some of the before and during the swap out pics. Will get some after pics soon. Didn't turn out quite as nice as I liked. Mainly the paint on the bezel turned out bad. I see a Dennis carpenter bezel in my future haha.
Instrument cluster before i dug into it. The fuel gauge and the temp gauge were bad.
Sadly they cut up the cluster housing so it was tricky to get the new ones to fit with nothing to really mount it to.
You can see where they cut up the holes better here. The gauges had white needles so repainted the speedo needle white.
That is some pretty nasty looking holes ripped in the housing. Looking forward to after pics.
Hope you had a great 4th and are not missing any appendages! LOL
How was the weather there yesterday? 90* with 85% and an index of 108 by noon yesterday.
Same here on Saturday and cook out at a friends house for their Son return from deployment. Worked yesterday which was good because it was too hot and humid for man or beast.
Have day Justin and all of Utah.
