Shop doesn’t even know the problem ?!!

I recently purchased a 2011 6.7 powerstroke. The truck runs perfect doesn’t use any fluids and has lots of power. I realized the oil cap was loose and would not tighten so I bought a new one put it on then realized the truck was smoking at an idle only. Loosen the oil cap smoke stops.. im lost.

I would replace or at least check the ccv system to make sure it is not plugged. If the smoke goes away when you open the oil cap it sounds like excessive crank case pressure to me. Hopefully that's all it is.
