If you don't mind can you go into a little bit more detail about adding the steering wheel. I wanted to do it but a few people said it couldn't be done including the 4d guys.
It was said that there would be no harness or interface parts in the truck for the wheel. I have an 18 250 STX with no sync. I also have a cargo camera and nobi=ody could promise me that I could retain that.

 

I wish mine did not have Sync!! Have to reboot every time I drive it. Takes about 15 minutes before it will completely freeze. Appointment made to replace the module well known problem.

 

the cargo camera im not sure how it connects to the factory radio (if its a seperate video imput or shares the same as the rear cam and is switched before the radio) the steering wheel is plug and play it comes with the harness all you have to do is plug in and turn on the audio buttons in forscan, the only button on the right that doesnt work is the sync voice command ( because of no sync module) volume, media, phone on and off all work

is your issue with Sync or Sync 3?

 

 

It retains your factory active back up lines
so that is processed after the camera but before the radio

Ok it seems the issues are mostly with the Sync 3, not the lower tech Sync.
