I am looking for 1 or 2 steering wheels for a 1977 Ford truck that is set up with cruise control and the horn pad with the cruise control set up also . Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
Is it a early 77 with a skinny horn pad, and are the buttons in that skinny bar? Or is it a late 77 with a wide like a 78/79 steering wheel horn pad and the CC buttons are in the pad with the horn.
It would be the skinny horn pad . I called Dennis Carpenter a few months ago but they either didn't have or make any more of them. Just looking to find a couple that some one might have laying around that are in good shape. It seems from what I know that may be the only way that I might find them.
Just wanted to make sure we were on the same sheet of music. I searched the web and can find steering wheels and the skinny horn pad, but NONE with the cruise control. Ebay or hopefully some FTE member has a couple of spare ones. The skinny ones with cruise control might be a harder item to locate, good luck.

SAME steering wheel/horn pad used with Speed Control: 1975/77 F100/350 & Econoline.
Be aware that the Speed Control T/S switch is also different.
Rich: There's only one for 1977 (as above). Before/from serial number Y20,001 makes no difference.
Ditto for the pad, Speed Control switch (D5TZ-9C888-A) and T/S switch (D5TZ-13341-B).
Oooh, I'd love to get my hands on one of these for when I retro fit cruise into my truck. Are the wheels the same between cruise and non cruise and you just change the horn pad out? How similar are the pads from a similar vintage car? Would something like a LTD or Fairmount have a horn pad that would work? I figured I'd end up using an OBS wheel when I get around to it.
The Speed Control steering wheel, horn pad and T/S switch were only used with the above vehicles.
Nothing else from any other year FoMoCo vehicle will work.
All the Speed Control related parts are obsolete, the steering wheel and horn pad are not available NOS and are not repro'd.
There are a few T/S switches available NOS
Hi,
I have a 1977 Custom F150 Supercab Shortbed. I would like to build in the speedcontrol. Is it hard to find? Is it easy to build in? Does anyone knows how and where I can get this part?? (I'm living in the Netherlands) This would be great for my truck!
The thread is 3 years old, last time I bought the switches was in the 80's and very expensive at the time. Your best bet may be the bay, or check with one of the people in the classifieds here for recycled parts..
