OK, Gents. I have an '07 F-350 diesel King Ranch. 190K miles and LOVE it! 14-18 months ago, I put new bulbs in the headlights and the fog lights. On low beams, really bright and works great. However, when I click on bright, it just not doing the job. Anybody got any bulb recommendations? Thanks for the input.
My experience with both my 2006 and 2011 F350’s is that the high beams are pretty much useless. When I got my 2006, I put in some “ultra white” bulbs (Sylvania I think?). The just made things a little whiter, but didn’t really add more light. They burned out within two years, so I just stuck the oem bulbs back in.
Supposedly using a heavy duty headlight harness connected right to the battery really helps with the light output. There are a bunch of threads on it. I never tried it myself.
I have a Western plow on my 2006; those headlights are a great improvement over the truck lights.
A friend of mine recommended Hikari LED bulbs to me when he was doing some restyling of his 15 F350 KR. I installed them into my truck and they were definitely the best set of bulbs have ever installed. Works great both low and high beams. Look up my truck thread for the details. I know my heads light housing are different than your 07 350 KR. However I am using the stock housings without a problem. Good luck.
