Hi,
I have a 1956 f250. I was under it yesterday greasing all of the zirt fittings and the front leaf spring rear perches seem to have a rubber donut or something missing where the leaf spring curls around the perch rod. There is alot of slop there.
is it made that way or is there some kind of bushing that has rotted away?

That "rubber donut" was dried out grease and dirt compound. Ross mentioned the bronze bushings. Replace them and the pins.
Thank you so much for your help and diagram!
Looks like my 5348's are completely gone.
You might want to look a little closer. That would be highly unusual for them to be completely gone. Bronze doesn't wear like that. If true then you will need the pins too as they will be severely worn like this:
These are off my '50 F2 but wear should be the same as it uses bronze bushings too.
I’m a little confused Your profile says you have a 58. 58’s did have rubber bushings. Look how it mounts. If it’s got a bolt it’s got rubber bushings, if it’s got a pin (like the diagram) it’s got metal bushings. Also after 56 ford made the springs wider to 2”
Here’s a link to a vendor that sales springs.https://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/43-245.ham
Hi bjmayberry2, our truck is a 58 cab and bed mounted on a 56 f250 frame and running gear.
My dad did the conversion (years before I was born in 71) so he probably did it in the early 60's.
It had a 56 cadillac motor up until the 90's which he mated to the T98 4 speed with an adaptor bell, and we put a 65 Merc 390 in it.
I'll get the spring width and some photos soon.
