I have a 95, explorer(eddie bauer edition), 4X4, push rod v6, 140,000miles. I purchased the rear leaf spring shackles. I was able to get the inner bolt sleeze, and the rubber bushing pressed out of the sprting.. There still remains the outer sleeve of the (pressed bushing assembly) in the spring..
Can anyone tell me. Is there a way to get that out of there without takin the leaf spring out of the truck? It seems to be very well juiced in there.
By the way..I did do a search on this subject, and came out blank..so, I posted this question.
Thanks
It was 3 days of figuring, and now i could do this with my eyes closed.
I cut the sleeve to relieve the pressure, then it popped right out, i ran a brake hone though it,then applied a thin coat of grease, then pressed them in easy!
Thanks
