If I remember correctly, the mold for 57-60 Cab Corners Broke some time ago and nobody planned to make another one, meaning that when they were all sold out they would no longer be available until somebody else started producing them.
My order for a pair of cab corners with EMS Auto has been shipped and is in the possession of FedEx. Scheduled delivery is Monday, October 28. The box weighs 12 pounds which figures about right. Total cost was $249 shipped from the Detroit area of Michigan to the central coast of California.
When I spoke to "Bob", he told me the parts are American made and of good quality. After the Ecklers debacle, I am somewhat apprehensive. I will post photos of the cab corners as soon as they arrive.
My cab corners arrived from EMS earlier today. The first thing I noticed about these pieces was the thickness of the metal. The EMS corners are made out of sheetmetal that appears to be thicker than the corners that were sent out (and promptly returned) by the folks at Ecklers. They feel like they are of similar thickness as the factory metal on the back of my cab.
I mocked up the driver's side corner on my cab. You can be the judge regarding the fit.
Overall, I was very favorably impressed with the EMS products. My cab corners were shipped promptly and arrived 6 days after placing my order. I am very satisfied with the quality and fit of these items. As mentioned before, I am not an agent or an advocate of EMS products. I am only trying to help other FTE members by sharing my own, personal experiences.
