Just got an update from Eklers. Right and left corners have been shipped and should arrive Tuesday the 9th. I will post pictures of what I get so that all of you can make your desicions on if you want to continue to wait or cancel your orders.
Fingers crossed they're a correct and accurate fit! I'm already about to look at a donor cab.
Yep, wrong corner. There’s even a big sticker right on the corner I received that says 61-66 Cab Corner and a part number that is no where close to what I ordered. What a joke. Ecklers is going to get a lot free advertising from me.
I ordered cab corners from Ecklers back in May. Several phone calls and broken promises later, my right side cab corner arrived the other day. As expected, I got the wrong part.
One would think that after all of the problems with previous orders for this item, Ecklers would not continue to ship the '61-66 cab corner to fill orders for the '57-60 cab corner. These people truly must be brain dead. If you were writing a book on how to go out of business by providing ridiculously poor customer service, Ecklers would be a great role model. When I asked the usual questions about when I will actually get the correct part, I got nothing but the same old "BS" responses.
The wrong part is on its way back to where ever it came from and I am once again trying to figure out where I can get my hands on a set of cab corners.

Same here but I noticed when it shipped it said 61-66 cab corners. I got on the phone right a way and said what the heck, I ordered 57-60 cab corners and you ship me 61-66! Not impressed, last time I will ever buy from them.
The lady phone was very nice and even said sorry it is an error in our system, which doesn't help me at all.

My conversations were all through email. I found it interesting that each reply was from a different person. At first they tried telling me that the corners would only fit 57-60 pickups larger than an F350. Then they said these corners would fit 57-60 Ford trucks but not the F Series. What? Next I was told that these corners would only fit a 57-60 F100. On their website now it shows the corners fitting 61-66 F100 thru F350 AND 57-60 Ford Truck! These guys have no clue what they’re doing. Make sure you keep on them about refunding your money. I’m still trying to get my money back for this corner and have had trouble in the past when I’ve returned wrong parts to them. Luckily this will be the last time I will ever have to deal with Ecklers. What a joke.
Out of the blue, I got a call from an Ecklers representative earlier today. I asked why she called and she said she was not completely sure, but it had something to do with the cab corner issues. After a short game of 20 questions, I discovered they really don't have the parts I ordered in stock and that I would be seeing a refund, unless the item(s) I ordered miraculously became available. When asked when I would get my money back, I was told it would be up to 3 weeks after they received my return. That means I am looking at a month, or more.
At this point I unloaded all of the issues, problems and poor customer service involved with my order. The line was silent. I recommended she not give up her night job because her day job at Ecklers might not be long for this world. I don't see how any company as dysfunctional as Ecklers could stay in business for an extended period of time. I also advised her that Ecklers poor business practices were becoming notorious thanks to forums such as this one and others on the internet.
After the call, I took a quick look at Ecklers Better Business Bureau profile. As you would expect, it shows a litany of horror stories and terrible reviews regarding issues very similar to the cab corner problems we are having.
Earlier today, I saw a couple of internet posts indicating that EMS Auto in Detroit now has reproduction '57-60 cab corners. I called and spoke to Bob who told me he had them in stock. He took my order for one of each side and indicated he would ship this Thursday or Friday. He is charging $110 per side and I am sure there will be a shipping fee on top of that. I will post an update when I have more information. EMS Auto has a web page, but the cab corners are not listed.
So, what has caused the shortage of 57-60 cab corners? I bought a pair about 10 years ago and they were plentiful. Since then, 57-60 trucks have gained in popularity and it seems like inventory would reflect that. Are all business acting like Walmart where if they don't sell a certain item within a fixed period they discontinue it? Seems like it all comes down to greed!
I think it comes down to supply and demand. I will post an update when I have more info. Please remember, I am not an agent for ANY parts vendor. I am only posting first hand knowledge of what I have experienced.
