Truck won't start!

1994 F150 Stright 6
took alternator off. Got it tested it passed
got new battery.
now it just clicks and started won't engage
hellp!

Get the starter checked out. Check for corrosion at the connection where the wire is clamped by the battery terminal.

The battery terminals are fine.

stick a screwdriver between the terminals on the solenoid....if it starts then get a new solenoid...

Something to do with distributer. Had him crank it and then turned the dist. And then started

If the distributor turned by hand without loosing the hold down bolt, you need to remove the spout and set the timing to 10* BTC and then replace the spout and tighten the hold down bolt so the distributor won't turn. If it is running good you may have it close but I wouldn't rely on that. The hold down bolt is a pain to get to because it is somewhat recessed. They make a tool for doing it or you can bend an old box end wrench to compensate. Sandy
