Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum. About ten days ago, I was heading to work and my truck unexpectedly died with 9 miles to go. I have a dongle by Automatic that lives in my OBD-II connector. It basically logs my travel and can display basic codes. When my truck died, I had no CEL and my OBD-II dongle was no longer connecting to the ECU. When the truck died, I had power to 12v plugs. Seems like my injectors aren't getting fuel. My first thought was high pressure injector pump, but after having the issue of no OBD-II data transmission, I'm thinking the problem is elsewhere and that the pump is just not being told to work. I received a scan tool yesterday that claims to fully work with a 2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty. Same with it. It gets power, but no data. I looked at all fuses under the hood, and they look good. I have not been able to test relays. I also check fuse #20 inside on passenger side. According to my diagram #20 is supposed to be the Diagnostic connector. As of this morning, my dash is showing the wrench, which wasn't there before. Any ideas?
The CEL does come on as most of the lights do, then after a second or two, all that remains are the seat belt, battery and CEL lights. I haven't tried cranking in a while, but I recall the CEL going away after cranking. Also, I don't hear what sounds like the fuel pump priming like I used to. Oh, when reviewing my log on the Automatic app, it quit tracking my trip at about 4:00 am and I first contacted my supervisor that my truck shut down around 4:30 am.
U2011 - Module Transmitted Invalid Data (Non SCP)
This is a generic network code, which means it covers all makes/models, 1996-newer. However, specific troubleshooting steps will vary depending on the vehicle. The generic OBD trouble code U0115 is a serious situation where the signals between the electronic control module (ECM) or the powertrain control module (PCM). Take it in and have the dealer reflash the ECU and/or the PCM.
I had an issue when every check light came on and the truck was a no start all functions working except the ignition. On another thread someone with the same problem, a poster recommended checking the harness by the E brake ...apparently that bundle connects to the computer , worked for me...my scan tool would not connect either
