Question Fuel Pump Problems...

I have a 96 4x4 F-150 4.9L. I can't get any power to the Fuel Pump. I have Checked all fuses and relay, All are working but no power to the pump. The sending unit will not work either. I have Checked all the wiring and they are ok.
I have been having trouble with the fuel pump for a month or so. The PCM is not activating the relay that works the pump so I am not getting any power.
Could it be possible that the computer has gone bad and causing this problem?

Also I noticed that when I turn the key on the Service Engine Soon or Check Engine light does not come on.

I was replacing my air filter today and forgot to hook the Mass Air Meter back up and I started the truck and it didn't give a Service Engine Soon light.

I borrowed a code scanner from a friend and this is what we came up with.

P0230 Fuel Pump Primary circuit fault
P0232 Fuel Pump Secondary circuit High

These are the codes. I went to ford and they said it could be the computer but they wanted me to drop it off first and let them check it out for a while. I can't afford that. I have a bud of mine that works for another ford dealership, (The guy that pulled these codes for me) He also said that it sounds like a bad PCM to him also, but it was different than any other bad PCM that he had Diagnosed.

In order to get my truck to run temporally I installed an aftermarket relay and ran power to the pump that way.

Thanks

Usually, when the ECM craps out, you aren't able to get any codes. I would first check the ignition switch.

Take care,

There seems like there has to be a wiring fault somewhere. I know you said you checked everything, but I don't think it could be much else. If the computer were bad, it usually wouldn't give any codes, like PKRWUD said. The codes that are stored are exactly the problem you are describing. Check all the grounds in the fuel system and make sure everything is perfect.
