Keyless entry electrical help please
We have a 2004 XLT with existing electric locks. Trying to add keyless entry. Identified the wires and did the splices. Box clicks and will operate a generic lock positioner. But it won’t open and close the existing electric locks. All I can come up with is the existing system only uses 0.5-1.0 volts to open and close the locks, whereas the keyless entry is sending 3-5 volts. The first time each way (open or close) the motor in the door makes a quick noise, but nothing happens. No noise on subsequent presses of the same button. Any ideas? Thanks 🙏in advance for the help.
