Thanks For the Pictures, Looks like a really clean Retrofit. I'm also playing with the thought of maybe replacing the 3 speed with a C4 but I don't know enough about these to know if there is a specific C4 that bolts up to the Inline 6.
The Braket you have on the Shifter is for the Back Up Lites im sure but did you make that or did it come with the kit?

The bracket came with the shifter kit. We had to fabricate a backup light relay since we couldn't find one locally. Hurst should include a backup relay with their kit.

Depending on your rear axle and how happy you are with cruise RPM, consider paying a little more and going to an '88 to '93 AOD. They are some fiddling to set up right but you may learn to love that overdrive. Serving suggestion. ymmv.
Last thing I would say is be sure to be committed to your 3 speed because if the Hurst floor shifter and kit does not fix your issues you may be looking at a transmission rebuild. It may be safer and cheaper in the end to just go with the C4.

The Truck has a 273 Gear in the Diff. Its definitely set up for highway. I think it would be a Good 70 to 75 MPH truck all day long on the Freeway and it would be reving pretty good at 80 to 85 MPH. I am looking at a 73 390 engine and C6 Tranny that a guy has pretty close to where I live and this truck might have a V8 Before long. Can you imagine a 390 with 273 Gears in the Back. I can drive 100 MPH where ever I want to go...
