Need advice

Thinking of doing a quick rustoleum paint job in my truck to seal up the rust until I can do the bodywork as it is a rolling restoration. I would do rustoleum rusty metal primer on the whole thing and rustoleum red and white acrylic two tone. I would probably just brush it on. Then I can work on one spot at a time and keep it nice looking and sealed until I do a full paint job when the bodywork is done. Good idea or bad idea?

IMHO, you are much better off going with a good acid etching primer specific to the paint mfg you will be using for the final....as the rustoleum would have to be completely removed down to bare metal (IMHO) because of chemical compatibility issues.
