Keep in mind that the GD published pin weight is a "dry weight". When fully loaded that GD will be close to 3,000# of payload capacity. Then add hitch, people, etc. The payload capacity on my F350 CCSB FX4 PSD platinum is 3267#...but is pretty much optioned out. A long bed would reduce payload by about 200# due to the extra metal. Remove options like sun-roof, 4x4, etc and you gain payload. A gasser would gain about 900# more payload due to the lighter gas engine. Love GD - enjoy!
