I have always bought the pleather ones from Autozone. $14, stretch the hell out of em to get them on but they stay in place and work well....at least for me.
Your route depends on just how detailed you are about your steering wheel.
I recently got it but haven't put it on yet. It's sitting in my garage and looks like a quality piece.
I went that route several years ago. Within a little over a year, the finish began wearing off, and shortly began looking no better than what I was covering up. A year ago, I replaced it with another one, and a couple months ago it began actually peeling off in spots showing the natural tan leather beneath it.
I keep my interior pretty tidy, and I never handle the steering wheel if my hands aren't clean.
These covers look great at first, but from my experience, they aren't durable. Maybe another color is better or longer lasting, but the parchment isn't.

Good to know. You are the first negative review I've seen for Wheelskins.
I already have it so I'll see how it goes. I have the medium flint interior so hopefully the grey fares better than parchment.
I have had the $15 covers from the local auto parts store before and will not do that again. Nothing against them, it's just a personal thing.
This was the only acceptable option for me (and my OCD) short of buying another wheel. Unfortunately the last year with the truck has been a wallet-buster and is still ongoing for engine issues so it's Wheelskins or nothing for now.

Hopefully you'll have better luck with your color. Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed with the lack of quality. I had faith that the second one wouldn't fail as quickly, so I threw out any records or purchase receipts long ago. Otherwise I would have sent them a letter. Anyhow, here's a pic I took today of the second Wheelskin I put on about a year ago.
Well, there is a beige one, so there might be some hope. Your link went to the medium size, do you remember if that was the size you bought?
It goes to medium since that is the default, but I do remember buying large.
Learned a long time ago to stay away from anything that says Bonded, PU, or Faux leather. That stuff begins to shed in no time at all. Learned that lesson from a very expensive sofa and office chair.
This BDK is a PVC/Vinyl type faux leather. Wan't sure how long it was going to last, but figured it was worth a shot at the time. It was installed in 2005 and is still there to this day. It has put up with the 100+ Texas heat very well. Here it is on Amazon so you can see the sizing and the reviews:
I have the same medium flint interior. I found a cheapo cover at the local cheapo chain DD's, like $5. First one lasted 3 years, this one going on 3 and looks new because I'm keeping grease/oil off it. It's thin slightly cushy foam with plastic color layer, absolutely crap, but durable if kept clean. Sorry no brand name to relate but look for similar.
