I have been having issues with sputtering and not spooling I cleaned out the egr and that fixed my power loss problem but my truck has been driving fine all day till my tube blew off I stoped re connected and it blew off again now I think I have the tube on and secure but my turbo won’t spoil at all anybody know what my issue is
Update the hose blew off again and turbo spooled does they mean my intercooler is clogged?
No. Getting the turbo boots to stay when there's a little oil on them is tricky. One trick is to wipe down both mating surfaces until they are absolutely dry of oil, then spray both surfaces with hair spray (no joke!) Let the hair spray dry for a minute or two, then reinstall the boot and tighten the clamps.
This worked for me about a month ago when my turbo boot kept blowing off.
Your unison ring in the turbo is possibly sticking/stuck to the housing causing the boost issue. When you install the boots don’t push them on to far as that will also cause the boot to blow off. Think about blowing into a straw the less in your mouth the more goes through the straw the farther you push the straw in the more goes around the straw. How often is the truck driven?
