I HAVE A 1997 F250 WITH THE 7.3 IN IT AND WANTED TO FIND OUT WHAT STOCK BOOST SHOULD BE I HAVE A COLD AIR INTAKE AND TS6 CHIP. RECENTLY INSTALLED MY BOOST GAUGE AND IT IS ONLY READING 5-6PSI WITH ME GETTING INTO THE THROTTLE PRETTY GOOD, JUST SEEMS LIKE TO LOW OF BOOST BUT NOT REALLY SURE. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

First welcome aboard this excellent forum.
Second I suggest that dont use capital letter in ALL your text, seem that you ar angry.
Third the average stock boost is 17 psi.
Sorry about the caps lol im on my work computer that we use all caps for the work orders. On the idea of stock being a decent amount more than what im showing any suggestions on what it could be i cant find any leaks in my tube, could it just be a bad gauge? its a glowshift
What is the range of the gauge? If you have access to compressed air you can regulate down to a safe pressure for the gauge then pressurize it and see what it reads. You may want to build a boost leak detector and see if you have any plenum leaks
The gauge goes to 30psi, ill check when i get home if i have a regulator to do the test that way. thank you for your input hopefully i can get it all figured out tonight
crank it up full throttle at 3000 RPM while going up a hill to see your boost
My glowshift shows 20 PSI and is plumbed off a T to the MAP sensor
I don't have major mods and not chipped at the moment
Boost leaks can happen. I had a torn boot ay the Y, torn oring on turbo outlet was biggest leak for me and then one new boot slipped off from not being tight enough.
4 in fernco cap, 30 psi regulator and a few air fittings to cap off turbo while connected to a compressor.
then go leak hunting with some soapy water everywhere
for exhaust put a leaf blower on tail pipe and use soapy water on everything
