do both window and door handles get escutcheons? i've got 4 total, 2 of each (5 star, '52). they appear to be different size which is why i thought maybe one pair was for window and the other for door.
There are actually two types of metal ones. The 48-50 were taller and the 51-52 were shorter to accommodate the extra metal door panel that goes behind the door and window handles. I only figured this out when some of mine went on harder than other, and I compared them side by side.
I've bought two sets of glass online from AutoCity. Put them in the '51 and now the '49. They have an E-Bay store. Good prices and all, I like them.
I just received my new windshield today from them for the '49. Why did I need a new windshield you may ask? Well, lets just say that I thought I had the box it was in placed in a secure enough location. And I had stored it upright instead of flat last winter. Bad choices on my part and was a $150 lesson learned when I opened the box last week to install it. Cracked. DOH!
Don't store the glass upright while it's waiting for install.

I've ordered glass from LMC before. I had no complaints.
I also bought all my glass from LMC. The shipping box was filled with foam to secure the glass so it all arrived safely and it fits well. I'd recommend them.

+1 I agree. I bought all my glass for my F1 & F2 from LMC. Not a crack in the lot.
