thanks for reading maybe somebody can help me . Truck is a 97 f350 7.3 190k Miles So sometimes When I come to a full stop the truck will not want to accelerate it revs up and moves really slow whenever this happens the brake pedal is hard. When this occurs it sometimes jerks and then takes off and it acts perfectly fine. Also when it won’t let me accelerate in drive when I put it in reverse the truck will move with just taking my foot off the gas
It sounds to me like you're having transmission issues. When it revs up and doesn't accelerate, try manually shifting it down in to first gear and see what happens. It sounds like the transmission isn't shifting back down into first on its own sometimes.
Not sure what the correlation would be with the hard brake pedal - that one is odd for sure.
When I put it in first it goes but still doesn’t have full power but move a little better then when it’s in drive and I only get a hard brake pedal when this happens
Are you sure there isn't something unrelated going on with your brakes? Emergency (parking) brake maybe? The engine and transmission have nothing to do with the brakes at all. The engine driven vacuum pump only handles the brakes and the climate controls. Seems really odd that the incidents would coincide. When you get this hard brake pedal, get out and see if one corner has hotter brakes than another. I'm seriously wondering if you don't have a rear brake issue where something is locking up.
