Cool Swapping 5r110s/ Relearn

I have a 2010 6.4, my orginal 5r110 had lost 5th gear and resverse and had a bunch of codes. I bought another low mileage remaned 5r110 and everything seems to be good except a few things. This trans came out of a 09 and seems to run a little warmer than all my others. My others ran around 130-150. The 09 runs around 160-180. Also an having a issue where it slips 4th gear and bangs into it real hard. I havent put many miles on it for it to relearn itself but I am running H&S tunes. Do I need to continue letting it learn or is there a deeper issue? Mind you I have not changed tunes or anyrhing, just transmissions.

160-180 is where it is supposed to run. The old trans must have had a bad thermostat that allowed it to run too cool.

Clearing the memory and starting over will allow it to learn the characteristics of the new transmission quicker.

Was the reman a power wash and repaint job or did they actually replace soft parts?

if you have a warranty read the fine print....most of the Reman tranny warranties will say you have to replace cooling parts , external filters, and torque converter for a valid warrnty ....so if you tell them you did not do that...most likely do not have a valid warranty.

slippibg and banging is not good....
