Trailer electronic brake control? I'm not sure if there is anything else. I think factory installed trailer tow package has some software enhancement as well?

Well the brake controller can be added. However you will need to read the forums because ford deleted the charge circuit for non factory equipped trucks and it's a little more involved now.

as long as you have a fuse in the #24 location in the fuse box under the hood your good to go just plug it in and just turn it on with forscan also if you dont have an fx4 buy the switch with traction control and hill descent control combo and add that. The switch is about $10 and the trailer brake controller is about $100. Heres the brake controller part number GL3Z2C006CA and the switch is FL3Z-13D730-HA it simply plugs in and u have to remove the fcim to get to the trailer brake controller cubby. My truck had neither one from the factory
Did the dealer cover it? I've seen people run power to that fuse from the battery all it needs is a 12v source sounds luke replacing the fuse box would be a big pain
Yes they had to Replace the Whole Fuse Box ASSY because of Good Old fuse #24 not being there to supply 12V to the ITBC circuit.
Did it have any tow package installed when you started? Our had the standard tow package (11,000 lb GVWR), so we just had to add the IBC, which was surprisingly simple.

I've heard they have because the boxes and harness wasnt assembled correctly with #24 fuse not being used. Dealer I got my truck had to do 3 of them never heard who footed the bill but I'm guessing not the owner cause theres other alternatives they can do cheaper
I have 2018 F150 4x4 XLT with 5.0 engine. Can I add class IV factory trailer tow package with the software control. Is it possible? What is the cost?
Yes it can be done. However you have to keep in mind that your towing capacity will be limited to 7,000 lbs with the 5.0L, since that's what the factory option for the Class IV trailer hitch (53B) rates the towing capacity as. You have to have purchased a truck with the Trailer Tow Package (53A) or the Max Trailer Tow Package (53C) to get the higher tow capacities, and even the 53C wasn't available on the 5.0L. So just an FYI for you in case you were planning to tow more.

There wasn't anything wrong with the SJB assembly. For 2018 there were two different SJB's depending on the build level and options on the truck.
There is a cheaper alternative now from Ford where you don't have to replace the SJB. It's a fused jumper harness to supply power to the brake controller.
