Tires

Has anyone used the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 235/75/R15 on their 90 to 95 F150 4x2 and if so how does the truck handle on the highway.currently I have the Michelin Defender LTX M/S P235/75/R15 on my 95 F150 and the truck wanders at speeds above 45mph.I know it's not the front end,it is totally rebuilt including replacing the steering box with a new Mortorcraft one,.Thanks in advance.

Can't speak for them tires. I can speak for Goodyear Grabbers. They has always driven nicely for my vehicles.

Unfortunately I would vet its still the steering/suspension.

The LTX has a long history with great reviews.

You probably will not beat Michelins on road capability in the stock size

The entire front end was rebuilt using all Motorcraft parts so I really don't think it's that.BTW the truck wandered before the rebuild.I'll just replace the tires when the tread wears down. Thanks

It could very well be a slipped belt on a tire. I wouldn't feel bad about taking your truck into the place you got the tires and having it checked out. You shouldn't have to fight wandering steering.

An easy check that you can do yourself is to swap the front and rear tires, then test drive to see if it changed at all.

Also, just because it is all rebuilt, does not mean there is not the possibility of a faulty part or bad alignment causing the issue.

This is a very valid point as well, tires can be defective just like anything else.

If the truck wanders with those tires, which are probably the best street tires you can get, it will likely be worse with almost any other tire. My guess would be a worn steering box if the rest of the steering and suspension is in good shape.
