Well here goes, I'll try to give all the detail I can. I have an 85 F150 4x4 with 165k on the clock. The truck has a real super body for being a Md/ West Va. truck. The problem is that it seem that you are always steering it when you go down the road. I have lifted it with a 4" Tuff Country lift with extended radius arms and replaced the steering box with a rebuilt unit from advance auto. I don't have a steering stabilizer installed on it. As for alignment is there anything that I should tell the alignment shop to adjust to help or do you thing I could have another bad box? I'm listening..................any ideas will be appreciated.
Well barring worn out components( jack up truck and hold wheel at 9 and 3 oclock and twist then at 12 and 6 If it moves a bunch then especially at 12 and 6 you got some parts to replace) I would get a double steering stabalizer especially being lifted and if you have bigger tires. Wider tires have more area to grab road irregularies and pull it around. Try dropping your rear tire pressure and see if that helps, What pressure are you running on what size tires?
Hello new user, where are you in western md,i'm in allegany co..Yeah i just got an 84 good body 4.9 auto 4x4 800.00,not bad for up here in the mountains!!!
