Old thread revival... but yeah sure use diamond plate if your skill level allows.

I personally would not, because of aesthetics ( how it would look) but if that is your thing and you like the look go for it.

I mean, aside from the aesthetics, do you think the diamond plate is better metal than the typical replacement part?
