new pulley on balancer

I put a aluminum two pulley that bolts to the harmonic balancer. My question is should I just bolt it using just two bolts? Or should I use the balancer bolt also? The middle of the pulley has a hole big enough for the harmonic bolt. I had it with the two bolts but since I took everything apart I figured I would ask.

Thanks

Jerry

What engine are we talking about? If it only has two bolts and the crank bolt will hold I would use it. I would never trust a crank pulley with only two bolts.

Ok here is a update on my Ford 312 truck. The pulley I have for my power steering is a two pulley aluminum one. After trying a longer bolt on the balancer I found the pulley was to close. So the balancer bolt and flat washer needs to go on first . This acts as a pad for the pulley to sit on.Then the two bolts go on. Now everything lines up. Live and learn I guess.

Thanks
Jerry
