I'm going to part out my E450 and was wondering if the injectors are the same as my F450. Figure I will also get the alternator, Turbo, IPR valve, oil pumps, sensors, gp module, radiator, Etc. I already scavenged the FICM. Maybe after tearing all that off, ill decide pulling the engine is not too hard after all, lol.

What is the difference between the E-Series and F-series? Is it just a different tune? Seems like I read that the turbo is different.

All that stuff will make a good emergency kit for roadside repairs . Anyone need anything? Has a great, low-mile tranny (60k) I may keep that as a spare for my other e450s. All the same year models, as are me and the boys trucks.

Here's one: what's the easiest way to get the turbo drain tube in place when re-installing a turbo? I've done it twice now and both times were major PITAs. Do you get it inside the turbo first and then finagle it into the pump cover, or vice versa?

Also, the heat shield. Instructions I had said take it off to get the pump cover off. Major, major PITA to get the bolts out, but I still never could wrestle the shield out. In hindsight, did it even need to come off? I didn't even check - can you get those three bolts from underneath with a real long extension and swivel?

From the back side, my turbo blades are all rusty. Is that typical?

I hated to replace that STC without doing the cooler and a delete at the same time. I replaced my degas a few months ago. Been monitoring coolant now that I can see it in the bottle. Its started looking dirty in the back half of the bottle, but the front was clear and no oil would be on my finger when I reached in. However I drained it when I had to take the intake off this week and now see that there is Gunk on the bottom of the bottle. Didn't I read somewhere that there was a difference between gunk that floated or balled up versus gunk that settled to the bottom?
