This lake is pretty shallow in that area with a hard sandy bottom. I could have driven in past the rear wheel and the front would only be 8" deep. 50 yards out is enough to swim without hitting bottom.
The west end of the lake is a different story. Rocky shoreline and 25' deep only 10 yards from shore.

Sorry, although it was a hot day there were no bikinis in sight. I'll try again some time.

Pinecone thanks for the vids and your words, very entertaining.
this thread and the one asking about how long we have been working on our trucks, makes me feel closer to normal.
Not that I am claiming to be normal, just a bit closer.

Thanks for taking us along on the trial run, kudos to your wife! That was a great ride, even I had butterflies in my stomach.
Your attention to the details shows, it is going to be a great ride when you are done.
