Improving Towing

There's countless reasons why new truck owners no longer wanted manual shift transmissions anymore and the market dried up.Having to shift yourself is aggravating work unless you just primarily run down the interstate.People like me using trucks in rural settings with slow country, hilly roads and stop and go driving, along with moving around on job sites, could press a clutch and move a shift lever, literally hundreds of times per day. While I have had and driven many of manual shift vehicles over the years and I fully understand the control and fun factor from time to time, overall, any advantages you thought you had, grows old real quick when you drive a lot.
Yeah... I suppose... but having been driving for about 45 years, I guess I just like the self- flagellation. When my knees go out, I'll join you with an autobox. Until then, that third pedal just makes me.... well, I guess it just makes me feel more like a man...

Yup, I'm that insecure!
And yeah, I should put a counter on the clutch switch. I suspect I shift at least a hundred times a day. Feels good. Keeps me feeling young. I can slow down with the throttle. Long grades? No problem!
Totally self- imposed punishment, I agree! But I save the hair shirt for the worst days...
t
whups, time to gear down.
(all this is totally tongue in cheek, of course)
