Maybe an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I'm wondering if when fully loaded and under a lot of pedal, it's going lean with the full power pack on it. Also check your o2 sensor they get overlooked often.
Will do, would like to put a AFR gauge in it to see whats going on.
HEADS. you can get about 75hp from them when ported correctly.
Look up BOPORT on here, he ported his heads WITH dyno results. The results speak for themselves. I am getting a set done on my truck whenever I get around to going Mass Air
That's an impressive gain! Was that also with headers? With ported heads, headers should really help out but I'm guessing since that's a big jump that's likely from mani's to headers too.

I am confused as to how an automatic transmission improves towing power.
Ease, certainly, and gear- matching, slightly....
but on the highway, the somewhat lower losses of a manual box are a (tiny) asset, not hindrance- it'd seem.
t
uses 4 low quite a bit while moving trailers around the farm- it's a lot easier on the clutches.

Taking off. The torque converter is a torque multiplier
Ya, just moved a bunch of horses around with my aunt's auto-
that first 15 mph is certainly a lot easier. As is crawling along behind a
herd of cows....
...at speed, tho, I still like the manual. Personal preference, I'm sure!

As is driving through slow, stop and go traffic. As is starting out on hills. As is when racing your buddy. As is when you want to keep your diesel turbo spooled up.As is towing all around and of course the most important of all,as is driving while drinking coffee.
There's countless reasons why new truck owners no longer wanted manual shift transmissions anymore and the market dried up.Having to shift yourself is aggravating work unless you just primarily run down the interstate.People like me using trucks in rural settings with slow country, hilly roads and stop and go driving, along with moving around on job sites, could press a clutch and move a shift lever, literally hundreds of times per day. While I have had and driven many of manual shift vehicles over the years and I fully understand the control and fun factor from time to time, overall, any advantages you thought you had, grows old real quick when you drive a lot.
I don't have to worry about that ^^^ Red is not my primary vehicle...he only exists to haul a camper, so a manual doesn't bother me I've been driving them all my life.
A strong, performance clutch is no fun for gray hairs. Sitting at a red light with your foot on the clutch pedal is not an option, painful. A buddy sold a pretty nice turbo diesel 'cause his knee wouldn't take it. I don't look forward to getting old and broke-down. You have to be clever to compensate but cleverness isn't as easy as it was either.

Hahaha...paying for being groon the destroyer in my younger days, wouldn't trade it for the world.
