Navigation lock disablement
Hello guys, is there a way to have the navigation lock disabled on a emergency vehicle? I am guessing that it is just a program. The voice command usually does not understand what the operator is trying to say because someone is usually talking on the radio or it doesn't understand what you are saying.

You mean so you can enter a destination while moving? Yes, you can do that. Research "FORSCAN" on this forum or others. Too much to try to get into in one thread but there are tutorials. There are a lot of things you can change using the FORSCAN program.

You can disable it so that you can enter nav commands and view text messages while in motion, BUT there are a few other differences that come with this change, radio stations are down to two decimal points, speed limit signs on screen are the U.K. version, and it always wants to default to U.K. time. If you can live with that and the occasional "English" language announcement, it's a quick FORScan change.

I didn't know that Forescan modification did that with the time. I need to go back out and switch it back as to me its not worth the compromise to unlock the nav while driving.

My time works the same as before the Forscan change Steve and it's been changed for a year now.

Well that's interesting. I removed the modification this morning. I'll add it back in later in the week and see what happens. It can't hurt anything, but I have trouble getting Forescan to upload my saved original configuration file. Have you tried to do that before? It was not a big deal b/c the .abt files can be opened in notepad to see the text that's required.

I have a 2018 and these changes didn't happened when i made the changes to the nav with forscan.

Mine is a 2017. I get the UK circle speed limit sign instead of the US shield. Not sure about the radio station decimal. I did it right when I got the truck and can't remember what it was like before. No issue with the clock though.
