Multiple electrical door lock and radio problems
I have a 99 explorer with power door locks and remote unlock. First the remote stopped locking the doors but unlock worked(both remotes) Next the all lock door switches passenger and drivers stopped locking but open still works. The tail gate all lock still works open & lock. Checked switches OK, replaced all lock relay and it still does not work.
Where do I go next?
I also have my radio display out. Intermittently it fades in and then disappears for a week. It acts like a ground but the one ALLDATADYI.com showed on its schematic was fine. The radio & CD works fine. Is there a ground under the dash somewhere.

Can't help with the door locks. Have had a couple problems with mine but nothing like you describe.
Radio display is common problem on all the MACH radios. Display power circuit board is faulty, basically solder connections crack. Search this site or web for "Explorer radio display". You'll find numerous links to the problem. If yours comes and goes, you might be able to fix it yourself. Search will lead you to solutions.
