Idle RPM

Been looking around here but can't seem to find the answer in any pub's I have. So guys/gals - what is the idle rpm range for max torque for a 7.3L Turbo?

Idle RPM

max torque is about 1400-1600 rpms ;idle? mine idles at 650 to 700 and on high idle it is about 1100

Duh!!! So much for my typing. It was supposed to say ideal rpm not idle rpm.

Just tryin to figure out what rpm I should shoot for when towing so as to get the most out of the engine without reving it too high and generating heat. A pyrometer is in the works but I have another long pull coming up this weekend.

BTW - it has an auto tranny.
