Shifter done..
Time for a quick update. Last job before the final breakdown to finish body and paint was to get the Lokar cable shifter positioned and connected to the AOD. This is what I ended up with -
Needed to put a support plate under the transmission cover and secure the rear of the frame to the floor between the seats. All fully removable by welding in hidden retaining nuts.
Now onto the bodywork cycle...

The shift lever in the panel is a 12 inch cable drive mounted to the top of the console. Console in only about 6 inches high..I tried looking for a picture but I have so many.. Console was constructed of metal and the shift lever bolted to it much like JTB321
