Remember These?

I was looking for a seat cooler and ran across these. I do remember using these back in the day. For you that haven’t they are approximately 1/2” coil springs covered with a vinyl woven fabric.

Yes, I remember these and they work pretty good, especially on vinyl covered seat where you would get sweaty and stick to the seat.

Of course. They went over the Fingerhut plastic seat covers. Maybe I'll take some pictures of my well worn units.

Like sitting on a park bench but they were a lot cooler than vinyl seat covers.

I remember my folks having them in the front seat, but us kids in the back of our '67 Country Sedan wagon just had to peel ourselves from the vinyl.

These tended to rub on the seat upholstery, sooner or later, the seat upholstery will tear, especially if it's cloth.

Bill, I was actually looking for a unit like some of the newer Cars & Trucks have that blows air out of the seat bottom and back. Just saw this and had to reminisce. My Dad was a big guy and ended up smashing them before they did much seat damage.

Many years ago they came out with the ones that were a series of ***** tird together and they worked OK and weren't as tough on the seats as these were.

Later!

I remember those. Never had any but saw them occasionally.

I just bought one of these about a week ago. Use it in my work truck, can't do without it in the summer.
