Hi guys. Little help would be appreciated.
I am replacing A/C Compressor and Receiver Drier with all O-Rings. I am not sure if I should put OIL in Compressor only or in Compressor and in Receiver Driver?
The proper way is to remove the old receiver and then pour out any oil it has in it into a measuring cylinder. Put new oil in the new receiver equivalent to the amount you measured from the old part.
Even better is to completely flush the old system and then add the full amount of the oil back into each component according to the service manual. If you just put back in what you drain out as suggested above, you're usually going to end up light on the oil.
Be aware that replacement compressors my come with or without oil in them. I've gotten ones that said they were filled and they weren't so check it before installing.
