New Compressor - How much oil??

Greetings,
I appreciate the help, thanks in advance!

I just installed a new A/C compressor, and would like to know how much oil needs to be added to the new compressor before use? The tag said to be sure to add the proper amount of oil to the compressor, but it never mentioned how much that is.

The system has been converted to r134a, so I know that it needs the PAG oil, just need to know the amount to pour in the compressor.

Thanks again!

A/c Compressor Oil

Normal Procedure Is To Measure The Amount Of Oil In The Old Compressor, then Add The Same Amount To The New One.if This Is Not Possible Add 2oz. Of Oil To The New Compressor.before Charging The System Rotate The Compressor By Hang To Lube The Front Seal On The Compressor. Good Luck

Thanks...

Thanks, I can't measure the old oil, since the reason for replacement is that the previous compressor started spewing oil out the bottom, front half.

Thanks again.
