Newbie here: Check Engine Light troubles
Hello
I just purchased a 2006 f250 lariat with 133K miles 4x4 and previous owner rarely used it in the 7 years he owned it only 25K miles total. There is a jiffy lube decal on windshield I really dont know what kind of oils is in there but I just bot rotella T6 to change it out.
The codes pulled were P0267, P0270 & P0279. I googled them being a COMPLETE NEWBIE and it said dirty or clogged injectors or faulty FICM. I saw a video on youtube to clean injectors with seafoam so I put a can in tank a can in oil crankcase and another I pursed directly into the fuel filter after draining the fuel. I repeated this procedure three times and still codes are returning.
Please educate me on what I am looking at. I don't want to hit up the mechanic just yet! RUNS PERFECTLY!!! no stutter or misfiring at all but stupic codes are there!

I too am a newbie to the 6.0 and after reading through many threads I followed the common advise of getting a code reader. I got an Edge CS2 which seems to be a good scan tool. Get a scan tool and read how to put it to use in troubleshooting and everyday monitoring then spend time in the tech folder section. Lots of great info there. Good luck with your new truck!

I have a code reader but I dont know how to get rid of the cause of the problem. I will test the ohm's tonight when I get off this train and get home. I am looking forward to debugging this buger! Just hope it is not expensive
