Need Help Trying To Diagnose

It appears to be my turn in the hot seat here folks.

Friday I noticed the truck started making a different sound. Saturday it became more pronounced, Sunday it became down right concerning.
Truck is an 08, 128k on the odometer, deleted and tuned at 111k.

Tranny was showing low on the dipstick though it has the deeper derale pan now, I added 3 quarts and now that's in the normal zone on the dipstick hoping I didn't cook the trans running low for that short of a time.

I dropped it off at the shop this morning, and they said all the bearings and diffs checked out ok.

No codes present and I've checked with both the mini maxx and the edge.

Truck has pulled up to 20 psi.

Fuel cooler cap was discovered to be bad, since replaced and topped off the fuel cooler by opening the turbo screw and filling until it came out the top.

The sound is a whine during acceleration and deceleration, I've tried videoing the sound from in the cab. It doesn't appear to be audible outside of the cab yet. And my gut instinct just says it's a diff whine.

When I go to coast the truck seems to fall flat on it's face and seems to lose boost quick, though I've never truly watched to see how fast boost falls.

I will try to link some videos here, please give it a listen and let me know what guys think might be the issue.

Thanks for any time and input you guys can give me. Truly worried that I've screwed the pooch here.

20 PSI is pretty low.....I can get to 35 PSI by nailing it,

copy this link into your browser and review...your EBP sensor could be clogged..the tube to the sensor could be clogged..or the sensor could be defective.

I got up to 26 psi going from 60 to 70 on the highway during lunch

I did a crack of dawn transmission fluid/filter change this morning to rule that out

I looked at ebp sensor as well, I'm pulling 2-3 at park

my leading contender has kind of come from left field, it appears that if you have a vacuum leak it can keep your hubs from staying in 2wd apparently. Another sign of vacuum leak appears to be sprayer nozzles acting up, and my driver side futzed out on me last week as well.

I also want to say that judging by the videos I've never truly gotten on it in this rig, I've seen videos of people clearing 3500 rpms, I don't think my truck has ever cleared 2500

Scratch that, according to my Edge monitor I've gotten up to 38 psi. And have a max of 2800 rpm to date

i replaced my hubs and still had a leak.....there is a bolt or ball joint on my knuckles and the air leaks there. If I remover the vacuum line to the hub and pour a half shot glass of gear oil in....it leaks out identifying where my air leak is.

I've read some posts so far that people have opted for the manual warns and just capped the lines

I still need to check for vacuum leaks anyways now since that could be the cause of my washer nozzle issue as well now, but the manual swap seems tempting, and likely on my to do list if this is in fact the issue

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to dial on my options or scope of work.

if I switch out the hubs do I need to replace any bearings?

It's not a terrible job. Get a lowboy seat creeper with a backrest and it will go well. Best advice, and I won't paste it because I did it all a year ago off of a you-tube step thru with my laptop next to my toolbox.

Saved me alot of time on research and showed me how to trim corners expertly.

Thinkin both corners took 4 hrs. That's shafts, joints, seals, stubs and aftermarket hubs. (and a quick lube job.......happened)

Make sure you terminate your esof lines at the source properly, don't scimp or you'll have a hairblower for a defroster and it will always come up there if not done sanitarely.

No, You'll use all stock inside the hub units. It's very easy. You could do it without a stain being dressed for the parade.

Set up everything the night before and expect to hustle a bit. Be mindful and weary on safety. My truck dropped off all four corners and I cut my clothes off to get out. Hurrying!

Happy fourth,

Denny

Sounds like when my 7.3 would bog down and die when snowplowing on occasion. Almost like the intake burping or something.

I know it seems I'm grasping at straws, but I'm honestly reporting things once I notice them right now.

Just now I noticed that my truck wasn't downshifting into 2nd or 1st when cruising, so out of curiosity I manually put it into the first, second, third, and drive.

While in first and second I could move, but my edge was showing I was still in park. Only once I shifted into 3rd did the edge reflect that.
