VGT15% P0069
I just put on a new oil cooler, 2nd time. First time the oil cooler cover and EGR cooler outlet had some corrosion and after a few months, the o rings started leaking and filled the degas bottle with a lot of gooey emulsion.
So, that being fixed everything ran fine, good boost, coolant looks good, temps are great.
A new problem has cropped up. I ran it on the interstate a couple of days ago and after about 20 miles of 70 - 80 mph, I got a codes, P0299, P2262 and P0480, and zero boost.
I changed the MAP hose, put on a new MAP sensor, checked the orifice into the manifold, all seemed good. Took it for a drive today ran perfect, but on the way back home a few miles from the house, it did it again. This time I got a P0069 code, baro not coordinating with MAP. VGT went to 15%, fully open so no boost.
KOEO baro and MAP are within .5
ECT and EOT were 200
When it cooled I started it again, VGT was at 77%. I haven't taken it for a drive because now, I have a crack/hole in the plastic part of the radiator and it's leaking.
Does the issue sound like the turbo vanes are sticking? Or could it be that the baro sensor is shot?
Thanks,
Jim
