Ok got it.
This will have more info that you need. The injector info is in with the cylinder head
removal. You can just skim over the extra stuff and pull out what you need.
Also both SrMasterTech and DieselTechRon on Youtube have injector R&R videos.
They are worth watching IMHO.
I had a hard time with the two bolts, one because my motor seemed to be shifted closer then most. Second because some damn fool left a valve cover bolt in the engine and used one with a threaded post where it shouldn’t have been. Had to cut that off.
I pulled the air box cover off to get more clearance. Not hard, you just have to find all the little screws.
I'm just going to dump all these pictures as Im in the middle of painting a room. I modified the tool to do something else so the one opening is larger then stock, but it still worked.
On the A/C box there are also some spring clips on the box. If you are careful and pup the little spring washers then you will find the spring clips and other screws.
The first time I took one off it took longer and once I had the thing off I saw how it could be done a lot easer. One thing that comes in handy in a lot of places is a
10mm gear wrench and some stubby wrenches and if they are the gear type even better. The ONLY place to not use anything but a 6 point is the turbo bolts. That
is for at least breaking them loose. Once they are loose then you good to use what ever works best. Also when taking the passenger side valve cover off be careful with
the MAP sensor. Ot's that thing sitting on top of the A/C air box. I just take the hose off the manifold and then remove the sensor and put in a safe place. While you
have it off check the hose for cracks and the nipple to see that is't clear and not plugged up.
EDIT : If the screws that hold the MAP sensor are diging into your skin they can be removed with a 12 point wrench or socket.
On reassembly use some brake parts cleaner or carb cleaner and wipe the end of the turbo to be sure that there is no oil on it and then clean the inside of the boot
so that there is not any oil there also. If you have the spring type clamps then use a torque wrench to tighten them. You may find that when you think they should be
tight they are not. The first time I did one I thought I should of been done a long time before the wrench clicked.
Just wanted to drop in and say thank you to everyone that has taken their time to offer assistance to me on this issue. I sincerely value your time.
The new injector is in and I’m working on putting everything back together now. There has been lots of issues such as the small inch gap between the aur box and VC bolts resulting in having to take the airbox cover off. Had a few stripped bolts thanks to the dude who did the head studs. Had to fab up a tool for the oil rail hose, and had to grind down the torx bit since it was too fat. And then i also have had the wifey bugging me to do other things.
So now I’ve just gotta tighten down the VC bolts and put everything back in place above the VC’s and we’ll see if that was infact the problem. I couldn’t visually see any issues with the injector, crush washer, or seals. Not sure how this will work out but I’ve got my fingers crossed.
She’s fixed and has wayyyy more power than she has in the few months I’ve owned it. I bet this injector has been going out fir awhile. Need to get a fuel pressure gauge asap.

Glad to hear that! You will need a special thread fitting to fit that port on the fuel bowl where the plug is.
Mcmaster Carr # is 4936K154 but there are other places that sell them.

Thanks fellers. And yup, blue spring already done but i have worried about that mod since i was never able to check the pressure. It’s odd to me that an injector went out with such low miles and having a babied life. My father in law was always on maintenance and never abused the truck and never even towed anything. Hopefully this isn’t a sign that the other injectors will be going out soon as well. I just need to get that pressure gauge so i can check things out.
Thanks for that part #, saves me s little research.
One dead hold can put you on the side of the road waiting for the two truck.
I have been there and waited. BTW don't bother with the AT&T emergency
road side assistance plan. Those jokers never showed up. Ended up calling a
local tow company that I have used before and they were right on it.

yeah i learned that the hard way too. Lol although i did limp it home, barely.
I call family when in need. I can always rely on them. We do have roadside assistance that came with my wifes new car but we’ve never used it. I think it’s aarp or something like that.
